What is Earth Fest?
Earth Fest is a free community celebration of the past, present, and future sustainability efforts in River Falls and the surrounding area. This family-friendly event includes live music, fun family activities, food sampling, a sustainability and wellness fair, free giveaways, and more. Earth Fest 2024 will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 12-4 pm at the UW-River Falls University Center. Free shuttle transportation will be available from several River Falls locations in collaboration with the River Falls Bluegrass Festival.
Who is invited to Earth Fest?
ALL ARE WELCOME...residents and nonresidents, young and old, those involved in environmental sustainability and wellness, and more. We would love for everyone to join us at Earth Fest to learn more about sustainable action and living!

Paul Douglas

Paul Douglas is a meteorologist with 45 years of television and radio experience. Douglas writes a daily Minneapolis Star Tribune weather column and has weather duties on WCCO Radio. Douglas has authored four books, including his most recent , "A Kid's Guide to Saving the Planet."
As a religious conservative who began as a climate change skeptic, Douglas is now viewing climate change as undeniable and believes that caring for our planet is a moral and spiritual obligation.

Parking Information
WAYS TO GET THERE:

🚗 Free parking on public streets around UWRF (Spring, 5th, 6th, Walnut, etc.)
🚙 Free parking in UWRF Lot 1/Lot Q (Cascade Ave & 2nd Street - west of North Hall)
- From there, walk or EV shuttle to Earth Fest (south across Cascade Ave)
🚙 Free parking also available in the following UWRF lots: A, B2, E, G, H, K, N, O, and T (Some spots are reserved and all signs should be obeyed - parking in a reserved spot will result in a ticket)
💳 Pay parking (vendor & handicap) in Pay Lot 2 (South of University Center)

Well Water Testing
💧Free drinking water nitrate screening offered by St. Croix County.
Bring in ~8 oz. of water in a closed container (preferably glass) collected within 24 hours of the event. It is important to run the tap for 10 minutes (on cold at full flow) before collecting the sample
Bring for recycling/disposal:
Medications, Hearing Aids, Eyeglasses, Batteries
